The Meth Run, Information Graphic

This information graphic explains through the use of typography, diagrams, and custom illustrations how crystal meth effects the human brain. It is in the form of a poster.

Although many people know how damaging crystal methamphetamines can be, few know the technical aspects of what happens to the body during use. This information graphics poster displays what happens to the body during a “run;” a typical use pattern for crystal meth.

These diagrams show how meth creates a high by effecting dopamine release.

Icons are used to represent the various ways people taken in crystal meth, while the bold magenta dots represent a dose.

Bold unnatural colors express the aggressive chemical nature of a meth high, while the crash is shown in grays. Gradients communicate intensity and duration of drug effects.
